Ten
Things You Want To Say To Ten Different People (A Survey - Dec 2007):
1--
Nothing that happens to you will EVER matter as much as anything that
happens to your child.
2-- Forgiving and forgetting are not the same.
3-- What a child becomes shows the most important successes and failures
of a parent.
4-- Parents are supposed to use mistakes in their own lives to make
things better for their children, not worse.
5-- Becoming like someone who angers you shows immaturity and makes
you toxic to yourself.
6-- If you ask my opinion and then ignore it, don't be surprised at
my lack of sympathy. It doesn't mean I don't care, only that I'm at
a loss as to what you expect me to do now that you ignored my opinion
in the first place.
7-- We can't change the way others treat us until we change the way
we treat ourselves. People will only respect you if you demand it.
8-- Don't expect things to be handed to you. You have to go out after
them and earn the right to have them.
9-- My trust is incredibly hard to earn. Once you break it, it's nearly
impossible to get again.
10-- Don't confuse love and trust. They aren't the same and don't necessarily
come together.
Nine
Things About Yourself:
1--
I fully believe that no matter what decade it is, or what society as
a whole is doing, morals are morals and remain the same. We have them
or we don't.
2-- I am military-centric enough that anyone who does not respect the
military is not likely to have any respect from me.
3-- Hypocrisy angers me faster than most anything else. Saying you're
a friend and acting like a friend are different. Be one or don't say
you are.
4-- I read people well and I've rarely had cause to change my mind,
even if I try.
5-- I love getting to know people, but very few people can truly say
they know me well.
6-- I believe in hard work and if someone works hard enough to earn
a good income, I don't think others should cut them down for it. It's
the wealthy in the country who keep it running and I'm thankful for
them (not the "given" wealthy, but the earned-from-hard-work
wealthy).
7-- I don't believe in celebrity worship. I believe there are talented
people who have inadvertantly become celebrities who deserve respect,
but most of the ones we're pandering to don't.
8-- Only the most stalwart are willing to put up with me as a friend
for very long because I keep myself incredibly busy and don't always
keep up with their lives well enough. It's not because I don't care!
It's because I have a ton of goals. I completely understand when people
can't deal with that.
9-- I am WAY too verbose at times.

7-- Know how to take care of others.
8-- Have a good sense of humor and don't take little things too seriously.

6-- mental lists of what I need to get done and trying to prioritize
them
7-- wondering if I'm doing things the way I should and how what I'm
doing might affect the future
