LK Hunsaker holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with emphasis on the arts and culture. Her passion for books, music, and art was fueled by an artistic family, and after dabbling with creative writing since childhood, she began to combine word play with another passion: studying relationships. Having moved often as a military spouse, and traveling widely in between, she is now settled in Pennsylvania with her husband and two children.

On a day with more sun, it would be a nice place to wander, with perfect flower gardens and benches and meandering walkways. He wondered if it was used or only there for show, like much of the house. He wondered what she was talking to [him]about, and how long she would stay there talking to him. He wondered how well she would handle the next two weeks with homesickness already setting in. How often would she need to call...?
